Consent & rights · Consent Manager

Consent you can show, not just collect

A record of every consent you collect: the notice the person saw, what they agreed to, which data it covers and when it ends. Withdrawing takes one step, and every system that relied on the consent is told.

What it does

Consent Manager in practice

Every consent sealed as a MeitY-compliant artefact

Each consent is saved with the details MeitY's consent guidelines ask for: who, what purpose, what happened, when and from where. Records are chained together and can't be edited, so any change shows.

MeitY consent management BRD §4.7.1 · s.6(10): proof of consent

Every place you ask

Sign-up forms, apps, branches and call centres. For each one, we check how many steps it takes to give consent and how many to withdraw it.

s.6(4): withdrawing must be as easy as giving

Linked to the notice

Each consent records the exact version of the notice the person saw, so you can show what they were told on that day.

s.5: notice before or at the time of asking

Limited to its purpose

A consent only covers the data its purpose names. Anything else is refused, so consent can't quietly grow.

s.6(1): specific to the purpose

Withdrawal reaches every system

When someone withdraws, every connected system gets a signed message it can check is genuine.

Also included

The details that matter

  • A receipt for every consent, as a PDF in the person's language.
  • Consent for children and people with a guardian, given by the right person.
  • Your servers talk to ours directly. Keys never reach the browser.
  • This site's own demo form records its consents in the ledger.

Questions

About Consent Manager

All questions
Is this a registered Consent Manager under the Act?

No. Under the Act, a Consent Manager is a company registered with the Data Protection Board. This product is the record and tools you use to manage consent yourself. It can work alongside a registered Consent Manager.

Do we have to replace our sign-up forms?

No. Your forms stay as they are. They send us a message when someone agrees, and we record it with the purpose and notice version.

What happens when someone withdraws?

The consent ends, the person gets a receipt, and every system that relied on it is told. Live Testing can check that those systems really stopped.
